I am creating a range of repeatable colours and will be adding to this listing slowly. Current colours are; Redplant - a deep red Blaze - vibrant orange Old Gold - muted golden yellow Fir - dark greens Tealquoise - a blue teal Marina - strong blue Void - dark purple Crush - deep pink
These are my regular bases. If you would like something different please get in touch. All skeins are approximately 100g unless otherwise stated. Please note that some bases are not a natural/off-white to start with and base colour may affect the finished colours. Different bases take dyes differently, so effects and colours may vary.
Sock/4ply/Fingering weight. 75% Superwash BFL/25% nylon sock - 425m/464yds 75% Superwash merino/25% nylon sock - 425m/464yds 80% Superwash merino/10% cashmere/10% nylon sock - 400m/437yds 75% Superwash merino/20% nylon/5% silver sparkle sock - 400m/437yds 80% Superwash merino/20% nylon 'Zebra' sock - 366m/400yds (this has a partial black ply) 50% Baby camel/50% silk 4ply - 533m/582yds (this is a camel coloured base) 65% Superwash merino/20% silk/15% yak (singles) 4ply - 480m/524yds - 120g (this is a grey base) British Sock - 60% superwash Exmoor Blueface/20% superwash Corriedale/10% Zwartbles /10% nylon sock - 400m/437yds (this is a grey base)
Please note that the term 'sock' is generic and these yarns are otherwise known as fingering or 4-ply, the word sock in no way limits them to or recommends them only for use in socks.
If you're looking for another base please ask.
Orders will be added to my dyeing list, which is worked in rough order. Turnaround time varies, but is usually 2-3 weeks. In the unlikely event that I don't have the correct base in stock and can't get it quickly, I will contact you.
Please note that different yarn bases take dyes differently. I dye in small batches, but even skeins dyed together may not be exactly the same, so you may choose to alternate skeins in your projects.
I do my utmost to represent colours to the best of my ability in all of my listings, but please take into account different monitors may show colours differently.
